Lotus F1 ?

There were rumours of bailiffs being present due to a Sauber-esque driver dispute with Charles Pic unless remuneration was found. Not seen anything in the press today about it either way though.

I'd think so as there'd be some sort of conflict of interest between Total and PDSVABCDEFG. That's what Sky were reporting at the weekend.

I can't see a works team having paid drivers either. Not sure if it's happened in the past, it just doesn't seem right.

Grosjeans been a pay driver his whole career, and he was at Renault back when Renault owned it.

His seats paid for by Total.

As for Pastor, if Renault buy Lotus their debt won't magically vanish, and €30m+ is a lot of money...

Total are long term (like decades) partners of Renault as are Elf who have long been partners as well. I'm pretty sure they're part of the same company Grosjean's seat is unlikely to be currently paid for by Total this season considering there's little to no Total branding on the car or if it is the amounts must be considerably reduced.
