The announcement that we have reached a multi-year agreement with Red Bull Technology for the supply of our gearboxes and hydraulics from 2011 is obviously a massive step forward for us, both in engineering terms, and as an expression of our ambitions for next year and for future championships.

The gearbox / hydraulics package obviously plays a critical role in the performance of the car, not just on track but in design and packaging terms, and this deal gives our design and aero teams a very exciting platform to work with.

The removal of the double diffusers in 2011 will allow the whole grid to tighten up the rear bodywork and mechanical structures around the gearbox, and this supply deal will allow us to capitalise on that with our 2011 car. Exciting times lie ahead!

With this and the Renault engine, I can see them challenging the midfield next season.

Good move by Lotus I think. I hope to see them much further up the field next year.

What about the other new teams though? Will they be left floundering at the back still?

Will HRT even be here at all? Great great news for the team and clearly shows how serious they are about their future in the sport.

Lotus need to take some tips from the official FIA F1 2010 Game, i have no issues putting a Lotus on the podium.

I do nothing but finish dead last on that game.

Patience wearing thin, mistakes have brutal consequences. How it should be I guess but damn my pride is hurting.

I've got it as per the Hard game settings except with all the traction controll off and the corner lines on, should really crank the AI up to legendary, that should knock me down the field a little.

However it's a very annoying game and i look forward to the patches!
