Loud noise when amp is switched on

Hi,
I've got amp plugged into my pc and only two speakers plugged in at the moment, when i turn on the amp there's a loud noise from the speakers.
It sounds like when you tap on the actually speaker part, i have no idea why it's doing it because it only does it when first switched on and then plays everything fine.
anyone know what's causing it?

It is common on some amps if you plug into a PC which is not an ideal source.

Id always have the volume turned down when you turn on amp or you will damage the speakers.

Many amps have relays on the speaker outputs in to stop this sort of thing...

it's just a cheap(£80) ebay job. can't actually find a name as it's all in german, lol.

From what i've read it can do more damage to the amp than it can to the speakers.
i may be able to live with it since it'll only happen once a day when i turn the amp on, it'll be left on for most of the day after that.

If it's not a homemade amp is should have relays or some sort of output protection, but that appears to not be working properly...

Could you get a pic of it?
