Love COD4 but never played COD2..

I'm enjoying COD4 online.

Should I get COD2 or is it inferrior to COD4?

Well I enjoy them both - both have their strengths. I love the WW2 setting so that helps. Definately worth buying, online is superb

"Each PC multiplayer server can hold a maximum of 64 players, while the limit is eight players on the Xbox 360. There are a total of 13 official maps, and three of these are remakes from the original Call of Duty. There are also 3 expansion map packs named, Bonus Pack, Skirmish Pack, and Invasion Pack. They add an extra 8 maps combined and will bring you anywhere from Russia to France."

skip CoD2 and play CoD1

the graphics are dated, but it's a much better game than CoD2 both online & in single-player. I'm having one of my retro-gaming periods again however

Completely different game. BF2 is still my favourite online shooter, so much fun. As for your earlier question, you can get loats of maps for COD2, DDay is one of them. The original COD, well COD:United Offensive is the best, but depends if you can put up with the older graphics and the fact servers are diminishing.

CoD2's awful. CoD vanilla and UO were both brilliant.

I've yet to play CoD4.

There's not much point in buying CoD2 if you have CoD4 and are enjoying it. IMO CoD2 is the better game though, but that's mainly for competitive play, CoD4 is much better than 2 for public play.

Ive got them all and i must say berlin for CoD:UO still rates as one of my favourite all time maps. After 5 mins the poorer graphics are forgotten as the game takes centre stage.

I do like CoD2 and still think it looks fantastic at 1920x1200 but CoD1 and UO were special.
