lovin it lovin it

That they are :)

Truly next gen.

Those of us who bought at the beginning have been strangly fortunate. Haven't had to think about upgrading my video card in a long while ;) The lack of competition has kept prices high, so the resale value should be very good

I saw a local retailer (who usually sells at competitive prices) selling one for more than I paid for mine when they were released.

Glad you like the card. I still can't believe the ease it handles games with atm. I now go into games happily with Supersampling, 8/16Q AA and 16AF. :)

A point to note - most developers will have been using this card as the reference for a while now. Should give us good comptibility.

Yeah i love the supersampling, these cards just obliterate every game, and they look stunning on these, unbelievable the amount of power you get for under £200. :)

woot i cant wait to replace my x800gto with one of they 8800's for under 200 quid the more i hear the more i wish i had the money for one :)

everytime another nvidia card gets sold an angel loses its wings :(

makes me laugh. i got burned with an ATi card a long time ago, and may never ever get another. I am not alone either. I know things have improved dramitically since, but once bitten, twice shy.

When you say 'got burned with an ATI card', do you mean that literally? The heat my card used to throw out the back was painful. I could have boiled a kettle off the heat extractor.

I had the X1800 before I picked up the 8800 GTX, and I hated it. I mean, the quality and everything was good, it just felt so clunky - the drivers control panel was horrible, especially the way it stopped everything my machine was doing for 3 seconds while it loaded - and as said before, the heat.. wow.. after playing Neverwinter Nights 2 for a few hours, it got so hot the computer crashed. And I've got nice cooling in my system (CPU - 30c idle, 40c max; 8800 - 57c idle, 72c max so far).
