Only just got round to fitting my watercooling onto my new AMD setup.

Would have happened sooner but the lack of available AM2 backplates meant i couldn't mount the CPU block until now! :(

Anyway, got there in the end and couldn't be happier.

Only clocked at 3ghz but the temps are wonderful! :D

Yeah i thought that. Just surprised that Coretemp and real temp show the same value for the CPU temp???

To back it up the temp increased immediately to 20 and then took the following half hour to rise another 2.

My flat was particularly cool this afternoon (at a guess no more than 15c max) so PC temps have always been good for me.

I agree it would be nice to have a true value.

A pity really - especilly since intel had plenty of similar problems with this type of thing too. :(

I'll have a bit of a play tomorrow to track down a temp reading that actually looks (and behaves) right.

Ah - you know me! It'll definately happen - just need a full evening to get clocking! :D

That said - i need to figure out how to actually clock these AMD's - the bios options are a nightmare.

As for the temps - i think the water will have been no higher than 10c as before i got home there was no heating on... only an open fire (not burning during the day while i'm out for obvious reasons) and an economy 7 storage heater.

I suppose i just assumed coretemp, realtemp and OCCT would show temps as (relatively) accurately for these phenoms as they did for the intel's i've used in the past. :o
