low 3d mark score, is this right

what cpu would you recommend i get? i was thinkin of buyin E8400 LGA775 'Wolfdale' 3.00GHz because overclockin is a no go, dell have locked the bios
 
i looking to play, vegas 2, fear, gears of war and oblivion, for some reason i cant play these games on 1280x1024 rez even on medium graphic settings, i also play bf2142 and cod4, the multiplayer on cod4 is fine but the single player lags a bit, bf2142 no problem here are my results

I've contacted dell because the card was reaching 96c and i started seeing artifacts on the screen, they suggested that the card is broke. they are goin to send a tech out on Thursday, could this be responsible for the poor performance?

cleaned out gtx, still reaches temps of 90c+,

i've used every nvidia driver known to man, the most recent one wouldn't work with vegas 2, so im using the beta driver,

all updates installed using sp1

dell are goin to replace the graphic card, its got to be the cause of the problem, especially since im seeing artifacts at high temps, i think im also going to buy new ram, ive heard dells own is crap
