Low 3DMark 2006 score

I have a Q6600 @ 3240 MHz and a 8800GTX @ 650 / 1350 / 900

My current highest score is 11092

GPU temps never go above 80' according to Rivatuner.

Is it just me or is that score on the low side?

Operating System? I've hit 13k with an E6300 @ 3.5 and a 8800GTS at those clock speeds. If you're using XP have a look on Black Vipers website and set up your services.msc as these will use memory/cpu cycles, also hide desktop icons, shut down any unnessecary programs, do a clean driver install, make sure you have latest chipset drivers.

It is on Vista which itself was a fresh install 2 weeks ago.

There's your problem. If you go back to XP you should improve your 3DMark score.

If you compare like for like specs via ORB there are machines virtuallt thhe same as mine scoring almost 13000 in some cases.

PC in my sig scores around 10700 so yours sounds a bit low. That's on Vista 64.
