Low 3dmark06 score - 7800gt

ok so ive just seen a thread where some guy said he got 4500 3dmarks with his 7600gt . then why am i only getting 3900 (roughly) marks with my 7800gt (bfg).

is that score roughly about right ?

I was only getting just over 4500 with a 7800gtx so i would not believe his score.
I have since bought a 8800gt and i now get just over 10000.

Think the guy was proberbly telling porkies, with my X800XT PE I got 2300 and thats about on par/slightly faster than an 7600GT

is your cpu overclocked or stock ? maybe you have loads of things running in background spyware etc... and when running 3dmark it processes put it on real time and close processes that u dont need

nah i dont have any spyware or crap like that (i run ccleaner and the like a lot) yeah my cpu isnt overclocked at the moment. i run 3dmark with nothing else open so...

I used to have a 7600GT and I save all my benchmark results (sad, I know) wait a sec and I'll find them

Edit - most I got it seems was 4097.

2Gb DDR2
7600GT

He's probably right if he's got a quad or a C2D that's clocked higher than 3Ghz and clocked the 76GT a bit

Yep definitely - as there also is a score component that's CPU only so therefore with a fast good fast cpu it would bump it up - so agreeing with quote.

Thats abit low for an X1950Pro, you got a single core CPU or something?
