low benchmark on 8800 on old rig

had my card the last few days and done a clean install on new hdd this morning,
useing a ati 1950 pro at mo scored 3598 on 3dmark06
bfg 8800 gts scored 4414.sound like its not spinning up very quite compared to the ati
the system i tryed it on isnt very good but was expecting a bit more
graw even runs worse same as vegas
hope is just this set up and the card isnt dorked
more concerned with how quiet it is ,cant here it spin up when going into game
roll on this week should have the rest of my set up

not sure on make /maybe this could be the prob?
just wanted to test card really as its been sat here for afew days
was abit surprised on score

These cards don't spin-up unless temps hit about 90c+ so they're normally silent, even under load.

That P4 is only running at 533Mhz (133x4), so it's a major bottleneck.

the 1 i just put up bud
thats would make sense then if the card spins up on 90c
mine was sat at 70c ish in graw but the gfx was nasty very low fps as well
was surprised tbh

unless you have dual core, your CPU will be a big bottleneck for the 8800, i have an 8800 GTS 320MB and 2GB RAM but my AMD 3000+ really makes my games slow
