I'm in the market for a new monitor and I notice that low blue light and flicker free appear to be selling points, are they just gimmicks or would they make a real difference for someone who can spend a few hours sat in front on one?

Thanks.

I do suffer a bit of eye strain currently so if I could avoid that I'd be happy.

I'm not sure what size to go for,I use a 24" 1080p now but I'm considering going up to a 27"/28" or maybe even a 32" but I'm not sure if having the larger size would aggravate the eye strain issue as you'd have a bigger screen right in front of your head rather than still allowing some natural light into your field of vision.

Also I think you need a higher res monitor as the screen size increases?

I scale up quite a lot on my 24" now.

Was looking at the Asus models for the certified low blue light and the other eye care stuff they offer.

As I sit here now I am 3 feet 10 inches away from the screen.

More often than not it's only me in here so don't have to worry about viewing angles.

Cheers, I think I'll try that 32 AOC I posted earlier.

The desk is a custom built thing I made myself, monitor is on a shelf about 7" above at the rear wall and I have plenty of space for my other kit too.

:)
