Low End Build

Wow where do you find these cheap items! :D

* If changing to Mini ITX reduces the price also, that would be good.

**zakblood could you spec with just integrated graphics also? I'm sure i could give it a try

Bacons build is better than your intel attempt worth the slight increase in price

Zak needs to be pulled aside and had a word with.......that spec is all kinds of wrong and I'm too tired to even bother listing why.

Luke is on the right track but I would balance it like so......

Ah, The guy that likes to give constructive criticism :D, You spend more, you get better products, There is no NEED for a quality £43 PSU, nor 8GB of Memory.

Thank-you for your Input though, honosuseri

You are welcome.

What you need to understand is that the APUs IGP wants faster RAM. It will work ok on 1600mhz but as you see the faster stuff is in the same price range. If you have ever used IGPs you should know that they like to borrow RAM. So with 8GB you can give 1 or 2GB to the IGP and still have plenty for the rest of the system.

The XFX PSU is made by seasonic and rebranded, they make the best PSUs. I saw you spec'd a cheaper Corsair PSU on another thread, they are also more than ok and a little cheaper than what I have used. You have used the better HDD than luke used which has more cache which is also wise.

You don't have to buy my spec but atleast take what I say into account please

The PSU is the most important part of a system. Even on a budget we never reccomend cheap PSU's, in fact I made a thread about them with PSU's prolly better than the Swift ones and the comments were fairly amusing.

**** Removed - No need for the personal and off topic remark ****

Ek Cheap non branded PSU alert !!!!

Why is it whenever I see the OcUK cheapo bargin bucket PSU's do I think of a line from the song (Grease -The one that I want) "'Cause the power you're supplying It's electrifying"?.

Tickled me that lol

Oh it gets worse bud. He has now been recommending the PSU on to other members for budget builds. Apparently it's not crap at all and I'm overspending on parts in my specs. The corsair he started with was fine......Zak has much to answer for ;)

... quote has been amended by member ...

Bacon isn't that experienced to be honest, he is young so is a little cocky by nature. Infact he was so pig headed when he did his first build I actually just walked away from helping him, which is rare. Try to ignore it or just take a little light hearted pop back when he makes a mistake.......trust me we ALL make mistakes here at one point or another, even the best of us.

I did warn you people would pick up on this crap PSU. Your original choice was actually ok, just goes to show you have to be careful who you listen to ;)
