Low End GFX Card Question

G/F is looking to get away from her wonderful 8mb IGP and I was looking at the 3870 or 3850 for her.

One thing I did worry about is that her PSU is only 375W and is getting on for 3 years old... would her PSU hack either gfx card?

Anywho, I just seen the 4670 thread and is making think should I wait for that? It seems to be a bit worse than the 3870 and around the same as the 3850 but use a lot less power than both and be better with AA.

She has:

E6600 @ 3ghz
2GB OCZ RAM
Asus P5k mATX
Enermax Noisetaker 375W PSU

She has a 1400x900 monitor which she would use as well as her TV which is 1368x765 or something like that.

If I was to overclock the 4670 do people reckon that would be the better choice?

Cheers in advance, Doug.

Cheers for replying!

She would be playing the occasional game with me using to play games as well (all be it not at full gfx)

So basicly the 3850/3870 will work fine on her PSU.

So now it's a matter of:

Is the 3870 worth the extra over the 3850 or should I O/C the 3850?

Or should I wait and get the 4670 and overclock that instead?

Cheers in advance, Doug.

Wouldnt worry at all to be honest - my PSU is rated at 350W steady, 450W burst max for short periods - runs my overclocked machine in sig below fine :D
