Hi
I have seen in the past lots of pics of low flying military aircraft
where are these normally taken?
i am looking to go somewhere this year to get some low flying shots.
I am in the northwest (lancashire)

cheers

A lot of the shots you will have seen are taking in the Mach Loop, an area near to Dolgellau/Dinas Mawddwy in North Wales.

A good site for information about the locations can be found at

http://www.lowflymedia.com/index.shtml

If you look under the Information button on the first page it gives excellent information as to the three commonly used photographic spots and how to get there.

Although I live about 1 hours drive from the locations I've never actually been there to photograph the shots, but have had F15 jets flying directly over the top of my car whilst driving in the mountain passes in the area - awesome planes. The noise is something else!

If you can, then go to the Mach loop! I can't take a picture to save my life but loved just sitting and watching them fly past.
