low fps in cs:s after update??

in office i used to get 100-80 fps, but now i get 70-60 fps. Nothing changed except the steam update, anyone else got this problem?

Its above 60 fps so surely theres no real difference?

There is. I can clearly tell a difference between 60fps and 85fps.

tbh its not the fps i get that bothers me, its why it dropped thats gets me.

in office for example something i used to get 120fps in ct spawn, but now 70. Before the worst in office was 60fps when a lot of things were happing on screen, now 40fps.

its still playable, but would like to know its happening, and hopefully rule out gfx card problems.

btw its a lappy with a geforce 7900 gs go, 2ghz core 2 duo, 2 gig ram.

To be fair.. If you are used to large framerates, to drop to something lower is actually quite noticeable..

Although, on the topic of the updates.. I haven't noticed a drop in framerate since any updates!

I personally haven't seen a drop either, but I have heard of others who believe they have. :confused:

Doesnt surprise me in the slightest. They have obviously broke something new this time around. Thats all they ever do. Break it and claim theres nothing wrong. Nvidia say the fog is valves fault, and vice versa. I believe Nvidia, valve LIKE and ENJOY breaking CS:S
