Low FPS, low CPU usage?

Hi all,

Got the recent Pillars of Eternity game, and was hoping to play it on my laptop, but annoyingly getting very low FPS (sub 20's) from it.

I was never expecting to have crazy high framerate, but seeing as I get more in games that seem to me to be far more graphically intensive, I'm a little confused, as this is just an isometric, mostly 2D game.

Thing is, I'm only getting about 50% CPU usage while playing..

Does this usage take into account the integrated graphics? Guessing it doesn't and this is why I'm getting low fps with low usage?

Is there any way to view the integrated GPU usage separately from the CPU usage?

Just seen a post from someone with an equally powerful laptop CPU saying they get around 40fps :/ something doesn't seem right..

And their CPU has a weaker integrated graphics than mine, there's the 4000 while mine is 4400..

They could be at lower res perhaps?

This, also depends on the graphic settings they've picked in the game as well.

You can use GPU-Z to check GPU usage, and if it shows the GPU being on 100% while the game is running then you have a GPU bottleneck problem, which sadly there's not much you can do with a laptop.
