Low FPS - new GPU and/or processor or...?

Hey all,

I built a PC back in 2012 using parts from OCUK (high level spec below).

I haven't used it for gaming for a number of years, but have just started playing a game called Pipe by BMX Streets and I'm getting FPS dips under 30 at times - not on high settings either. Looking at people playing this game on YouTube I can see others getting 100fps+, presumably on newer systems.

Not sure if this is enough info to advise, but if I wanted to increase my FPS significantly, could this be achieved with a GPU upgrade? Or am I looking at a full CPU, GPU etc. upgrade?
  • Intel Core i5-3570K 3.40GHz
  • Gigabyte ATI Radeon HD 7850 OC Windforce 2X 2048MB
  • Corsair Vengeance Low Profile 8GB
Thanks,
Harry

Thanks for the responses.

Want to spend as little as I can get away with, I guess 200 ish ideally.

Thanks for the suggestions both, will look into overclocking and the linked gpu. Using a standard 1080p screen
