CPU: 1090t @ 3.2ghz
GPU: 2x GTX 260 (Core-216) @ 700/1509/1200

Overall settings on BC2 are set to medium. Normally seeing FPS around 33FPS. It will go up to 40fps if I am lucky but in battle scenes online will dip down to 25fps.

Surly the game isn't that demanding?
Overclocking the CPU is out of the question because of the terrible BIOS support Asus have.

Hi matey iirc this game is very cpu intensive, i have a 955 3.2ghz OC to 3.7.ghz i always have d3doveridder on for triple buffering and i seem to get a steady 60fps most of the time with my 5850. I get the odd drop to 45fps in the single player campagin when big explosions occur etc but thats it. I know you mention about the poor overclocking in the asus bios but imo that would help you get a smoother gameplay experience.

The thing is I cant overclock at all. When I up the HTT (FSB) It makes it very unstable. And even though I have an unlocked CPU. If I adjust the multiplier anyway, up or down, it has no effect at all.

Above is a screen shot of the settings I am using and just after being killed. I've managed to up my CPU by using PhenomMsrTweaker from 3.2ghz to 4ghz.
It still has not made much of an improvement.

I would expect these types of FPS if I was using a single GTX 260 but the fact that I am using SLI and still getting this is annoying.

Below are the settings I use for the game.

[WindowSettings]
Width=1920
Height=1200
Fullscreen=true
RefreshRate=59.950001
VSync=false
[Sound]
Quality=high
VoipEnable=true
SpeakerCount=0
[Graphics]
Effects=medium
Soldiers=medium
Vehicles=medium
Overgrowth=medium
Undergrowth=medium
StaticObjects=medium

Shadows=medium
Bloom=false
HSAO=true
MSAA=0
Water=medium
MainQuality=custom
Texture=medium
DxVersion=auto
Aniso=0
Detail=medium
RenderAheadLimit=2
Fov=70

Well this game is a unoptimized piece of **** like gta4. Even now with my 470 and quad 4.2ghz it still has points where it runs weird. Even the parts that feel smooth feel inconsistantly smooth. As annoying as it is ul just have to wait till you have a system that is capable of overwhelming the inefficient areas like running a game from 2005 is like now. So in short give it till 2012/13 and try again lol

make Bloom=false and lower shadows=low, also make sure to right click on the settings document and hit properties and set it to read only and apply or bloom will enable itself, just remeber if you want to change a setting reverse the read only option

I didnt know you could even edit these settings, well you cant do it thru the in game settings can you as its just a basic setting of low, medium and high. I have mine set to high in game so all the indivdual settings will be at default for the high setting i guess.

Im really sorry to hear your having probs jrwagh333 could you try some different drivers? being an ati owner im not to clued up on the state on the nvidia drivers at the mo, im using a fairly old set of ati drivers 10.3 in fact and i guess im just one of the lucky ones that can run this game and others like gta 4 really well

Seems very low, with dual gtx 275's at stock my fps was a lot higher, 1920x1200 all settings on high.

Thats strange, i got the same card and my quad is OC to 3.6 and it's very smooth in Multiplayer, around 60FPS more or less all the time

Not really played single player more than 5 mins past the opening cut scene, but that seemed pretty smooth to for the limited time i saw it

Hi, sorry to hijack a little, but i notice on mine in BFBC2 1 of my cores (4th) seems to be maxed out , nearly 95-100 while the other 3 only seem to be about 40-50%, is this normal??,

Normally what happens in games is that certain tasks are offloaded to other cores, so say.. the main game engine runs on one core... but the sound is put onto another... geometry (or whatever) put on another... so the load won't be equal across all cores.

OP> Even when I had 2x 260's in SLI on my C2D 4300 @ 3.2Ghz, they were not fantastic. Are you certain SLI is enabled?

Something amiss there, I'm running a Tri with a single 460 and BFBC2 is nice and smooth @ 1080P 4xAA (no HBAO).

Uses about 80-85% of each core.

TBH the game runs just as good as it did when I had my 1090T, the only difference is it spread the load over more cores so max CPU utilisation was about 20-30% per core.

So it certainly isn't your CPU holding you back.

BTW, I checked that option and it was HBAO so that might be the 'bloom' in the config rather than the HSAO ? Not sure. But make sure you haven't ticked HBAO in the advanced graphics menu.. it's a performance killer.

100% Because I even then went to enable the SLI indicator bar and both bars were maxed out during gameplay

Yeah I have set it to false
