Hello having got a new monitor today. I have noticed poor frame rate with sli enabled. In every game i have test i have got higher frame rate with sli off.

I used to game on a tv and never noticed this issue, any ideas what it could be

Yeah done all that clean install as well, tried older drivers as well its very strange

half life 2 for example i get 90 fps or less with sli without it a stable 300 fps. Its like one card is being throttled or something.

Same story on other games too.

I will try the cards on their own make sure one has not gone faulty.

Tested both cards everything seemed fine reinstalled drivers again installed new gpu software checked voltages checked gpu z.

Could it be a windows 10 issue or the sli bridge. I am stumped :(

Have you checked your power settings in both Nvidia and Windows control panels? I remember I once had a problem where my video card stayed throttled to the video clocks even in 3D games. Are you monitoring your clocks during gameplay, to make sure that they max out? And of course mousemonkey was right, you ought to OC your CPU. You'll hit hit significant bottlenecks at stock with that CPU(depending on the game, of course), but if you can get it to 4GHz (or 3.something, just whatever you can get) you'll unleash a lot more of the potential of those GPUs. I wouldn't call 1156 obsolete, there's no upgrade path for it, but it's still a great performer.

Yeah done all that :)

I have noticed if i played in windowed mode the problem isnt as bad

I have been reading that it could be the sli bridge the cable ones cant handle higher res and refresh rates very well and i will have to get one of the solid ones. Properly why i didn't notice the problem on my tv.
