Low FPS

Just changed my graphics card from a 6800 ultra (pci-e) to a 7900 GTO and tried a quick few rounds of counter strike CZ(Not the only game i play).

Anyway with the old card i got 60fps, and with the new card i am still getting 60fps, curious if this is the max for counter strike CZ perhaps ?

Current Spec:

P4 3.6Ghz Processor (oc'd to 3.8ghz)
Intel 915P motherboard
200GB SATA Hard drive @ 7200rpm
Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS
OCZ 2GB (2 x 1GB) PC3200 Dual Channel Platinum Series EL-DDR CAS2
OcUK MSI GeForce 7900 GTO SILENT 512MB GDDR3

I'm presuming this is just a software problem, any help would be appreciated.

Turned VSync off in both nVidia control panel and in CS?

Thought that could be it, i'm not sure on how to turn it off though.

Good chance to look and find out then.

Right click your desktop > Properties > Settings > Advanced

Make sure 'Application-Controlled' isnt ticked and move the slider to off

The max FPS for CS 1.6 and CZ is 100

Type fps_max 101 in the console as its set to 72 by default
