I recently started playnig BF4 and have noticed that my FPS are pretty low compared to what others seem to be getting with similar cards when readiing reviews. I play on High settings and I struggle to keep my FPS at 60. I play at 1680x1050. When playing at Ultra settings I rarely get over 40 frames. Is this normal? My gpu seems to be on full load while playing and that is the gpu clock being 1030 and memory clock being 1400.

maybe a bit low for comparison sake my pc on ultra iirc tends to get anywhere between 40-90 fps on bf4 multiplayer at 1920x1200, average around 50-60 with dips into the 40s during heavy explosions etc! id say a cpu upgrade would improve my minimums but youve got a better cpu than me and getting worse frames.

i would say do a full driver sweep. i have some issues in benchmarking with my r9 290 poort fps. once i get full driver sweep and all reinstalled was a notable preformance improvment in min/max fps

also ensuring motherboard bios is up todate

Well I tried benchmarking using Unigine Heaven Benchmark 4.0 and here were my results.

I'll try reinstalling all drivers now.

By the way the monitor I'm using only has VGA port, so I'm using a Display port to VGA adapter, could this have anything to do with low fps? I'm planning on getting a new monitor soon though.

Another thing, when I got the card I remember that when playing, the Sapphire LED used to go from Blue to orange to indicate that the card's temperature has risen, now it just turns off when the temperature rises. Is there any way to fix this?
