Low Power i7 Haswell

Just wondering what does "low power" mean?

Sounds like theyre just undervolting them to save power.

The S suffix indicates low power parts. They have lower clock speeds and voltages.

Yeah they're basically low powered Haswells for things like servers and so on.

You can use them but note the clocks are very low and they are locked.

Low power is exactly that. The TDP of that chip is 19w less than the 4770k (23w less than 4790k!!!!) basically lower base and turbo clocks.

If you want low power / decent performance The Xeon 'L's' are the best.

25W TDP. 4/8 core / thread. 8MB Cache.
