Low Profile Coolers.

I have an old Coolermaster ATCS 110 case, that i want to to throw in a nice new i5 / i7 setup, however I am limited to the CPU cooler space, As I cant really have anything with a 120mm fan as they obstruct the case from fitting properly. I currently have a 120 True Black on my Q9550 that is a pain to close up.

What CPU coolers other that the stock one, or the Sythe Shuriken are there.

Should do just great. I forgot that it has been superseded by the NH-C14 now. Review here. It's expensive though, shame a normal size won't fit.

How about the Noctua NH-U9, looks beefy and compact.

The other options are low profile coolers such as the scythe shuriken.

change of case?

or what about a closedloop liquid cooling such as corsair h60//h80 or antec kuhler 620/920

Closed loop liquid have 120mm fans, my poor old 110 will only take 80mm, its not a fat jobby like newer cases, its slim and svelte.

I have fitted some 120mm to my old build (old HP PC) that had a compatibility with 80mm rear fans too. You will need to cut some bits off & drill new holes etc. 30 min job.
I suggest either getting new case or getting a watercooling set and fit it to your case

There are a lot of nice cases @ overclockers (Fractal Design Define R3)
Just my opinion.
