Need something to fit into a HTPC case and a GPU thats capable of running 4k.

I've read that the GT 720 2GB should be capable of handling such needs but will it be enough. As its going into an old motherboard with an Intel Core 2 Duo E8500?

At the moment its got a HD 5440 and it 4k sample videos stutter.

Thanks

How much are you willing to spend? The GT 720 only has HDMI 1.4, so it is only capable of running 4K 30Hz over HDMI. If you want a 4K 60Hz over HDMI, you'll have to go with an HDMI 2.0 card such as the GTX 750 I'm afraid.

Cheapest as possible but if the GT 720 then its what i have to go for. Should i be concerned if 4K support needs cpu power?

what other cards are possible?
