I was wondering what performance you would get if you tripled up three "Low Profile" XFire/SLI capable graphics cards like these.

I've tried to google this sort of information with no luck. Anyone know any links or anything that shows off what tripling low profile graphics cards would be like. Would be nice to have some decent power without the noise from GFX card fans. :)

There really aren't that many games that even support tripple GPUs, and a fair few don't support dual. Kind of pointless. But what makes you think that's LP anyway? It's just normal sized. Performance would be okay though. You could always use the 4670 passive if size isn't that important. And i hear there's a 4770 passive in the works.

Two of those would be better, i think.

ah, so the application has to actually support it, I did not know that. Thanks for the link you posted also. I was just generally interested in what it would be like thats all. Thanks.

i actually wouldnt bother at all. 2x 4670's are about neck and neck with a single 4850 yet more expensive and more power hungry. there's absolutely no point in using two budget cards together.
