i bought an ATI Radeon™ HD5450 1GB PCI-E Graphics Card,it says the power req is 400w but my psu is 300w,would it cause any damage if i used it anyway? and if i bought a 500w or 650w psu would it overload my p.c or damage it?

what is the make and model of the psu?

if its a good make it might be ok, but it also depends on the rest of your spec.

well my p.c is a zoostorm,i never got a model number but the motherboard is a Foxconn G31MX-K - motherboard - micro ATX - iG31 - LGA775 Socket with an intel pentium dual core E2200 cpu and a 500GB western digital hard drive, not sure on the disc drive

should be ok, the card will use about 30w, and your spec is simple enough.

just beware of budget brand psu's where they cant make half of the rated power.
