Hey guys, my computer just decided to freeze mid game last night and then would not boot up again. Kept getting a split second blue screen and then it rebooted.
Have just formatted and am getting things back to normal, unfortunately i have no idea what caused my computer to mess up though kind of have a feeling it could be gfx driver related? this is a new card as my old nvidia card died the other week. Now using a sapphire 512 x1950 agp card.
I just installed the omega drivers as had installed the ati ones last time so figured maybe if was a gfx driver problem that this could sort it.
What i notice is that before i install any gfx drivers i can choose resolutions right up to 2000 odd on my display settings, but once i have the drivers installed 1280x1024 is the max. Is this intended or some kind of bug? It was the same before i formatted with my last ati drivers, max of 1280. I have a 19" hyundai L90D+ monitor if that helps.
To be honest 1280x1024 res is fine for me and i will stick with it, but was curious about the restricted resolutions.
I know this kind of went off on a tangent, due to me being pretty frustrated at having to format my computer for 3rd time in 2 weeks. If anyone could offer any tips on how i might discover if anything is faulty on the computer i would also appreciate it. I already tried removing bits of hardware one at a time but none would get past the bsod.
