I don't really know laptops, and even less bottom of the market stuff. But as a family computer person, I am being asked for advice.
I have a family member who needs something that will run office, web browsers, and Roblox (this is for a granny - but she plays along with grandchildren sometimes), and can be trusted to last a good few years before slowing to a crawl.
That, and being as cheap as possible, are the only requirements. Any advise on what I should be pointing her at?
Is a Chromebook going to get her what she needs for less money? But, on the other hand, is asking a septuagenarian to learn a new OS (and one which I can't help as much with because I don't know it either) a bad idea?
Thanks for any advice. As I understand the rules, it's fine to share links because OC do not sell laptops in this bracket. If so - I can get 7.5% off at Currys, so that might be a place to aim.
