i would like to ask does the low voltage ddr3 ram for i5 (1.65v) work on am3 or 790i ultra mobo(which uses 1.9v ddr3 ram)?

i would like to have some pictures before i risk my striker ii extrme;)

not sure but the am3 "high voltage" ddr3 is typically cheaper so just go for that. or have you already got some you're wanting to try?

not really but the low voltage are more steady available and more to choose from

if it works then i am think getting this:

Corsair XMS3 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (CMX4GX3M2A1600C9) [CMX4GX3M2A1600C9]

or

OCZ Obsidian 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 Dual Channel (OCZ3OB1600LV4GK) [OCZ3OB1600LV4GK]

Think you'd be better getting the cheaper OCZ memory on special this week, or the G.Skill Ripjaw stuff. I don't see why it's worth paying more for that corsair memory.
