Just wondering if anyone has bought one and if so does it work - Having a Water meter fitted in a few weeks and just looking where I can save a few gallons.

We have a mixer shower run on hot and cold feeds.

They only restrict the flow. So just turn the water flow down. Always use mine on the lowest on highest ours slowly fills the wet room.

You can get restrictors for free from your water company usually.

I really wouldn't worry when getting a meter fitted, we're a family of 3 and my daughter has baths all the time and we've got a massive bath and we're still sat right on the baseline of usage, like £20 something a month. You'll be saving a packet going onto a meter unless you're running some kind of large scale commercial irrigation setup or something in your garden..

for a virtually negligible, if any saving why would you make your daily showing experience worse!

My new water bill is £605 a year - both neighbours each side are paying half of that - I was ok with the £500 last year but I think I am at the stage where it is massivley cheaper to have a meter.

Thanks all for the replies :)

Yeah you will save a bundle for sure. That is about 3x what I pay with 2 daily showers and a large bath, plus all the other associated water usage. I wouldn't worry about your consumption if that's your baseline!

Honestly, water is so cheap I wouldn’t worry, a shower head will save pennies. My wife spends an eternity in the shower, we fill the hot tub, I wash the cars, a couple of summers ago I ran the hose pipe pretty much all night. £30 a month. I had the same concern when we first got one.
