Low watt cpu wanted

so .. you want a laptop chip in a desktop?

short of buying a laptop, ripping the guts out, and hooking up external mouse, keyboard and screen, i dont think this is do-able.

alternatively there are desktop replacement laptops, but they tend to be quite power hungry anyways...


edit: you can get relatively powerful powerful desktop CPUs in the 45w area, such as the althlon II @ 3.0ghz, or if you're willing to go back a generation, theres the old k8 dual core athlons (22w, 2.5ghz or something crazy like that), and pair it up with a 780g/785g chipset. had some stupidly low power cumsumption numbers for what they were at their time
