Lowdown on laptop graphics cards?

I think at the moment the most powerful card you can get for a laptop is the 7950GTX, with some laptops providing them in SLI. However they are DX9 cards not DX10.
However its only high end gaming laptops that provide these cards. Most laptops now come with 8*00 cards. A happy medium would be an 8600GT. It provides reasonable quality for the price.

Also i've seen some cards called Q600 i think, can you shed any light on those.
