lower ping on fibre?

Hi i live in the canaries and i have a nightmare playing online, i have 10mb and 800 up.

normal ping is around 150ms.

80 ms just to spain

vodafone has announced plans to lay fibre to the islands.

Will this lower ping or make no difference, i see the a lot of very low pings from people in the uk, this never used to be the case when i lived there 7 years ago.

Internet still kinda sucks in the uk it ranges from being one of the best in the world in some areas to the worst and yes if fibre was laid it would help your ping.

just be reading up on it and it looks like its only gran canaria and tenerife, i guess its a start
