Lower temps AFTER overclock?

I had a mild OC of my 2500k of 4.3Ghz, and I thought i'd take the plunge and crank up the vcore a bit and reach 4.5.

My coretemp/hwmonitor temps at 4.3 were mid 60s, maxing at 70-71 degrees and now i'm getting 60-67 across all cores, nothing higher than that. CPUz is showing 1.296-1.3v under prime95 full load, bios is showing 1.32 under load. It's really confusing me and I'm worried that there's something wrong with the hardware..

It shouldn't be COOLER! D:

This is with a gellid tranquillo rev 2, a front stock fan in that came with the case and a side antec tri-speed 1200rpm job pulling air in.

I raised the vcore slightly, though as it's done via offset on my ap-d3 it's kinda' hard to measure - Cpuz is showing 1.296-1.3, with BIOS showing a bit more.

I also raised the RAM to 1.55v. It's the hyperx grey rated at 1.65, but SB uses 1.55 etc.

First off VID and vcore are NOT the same thing. And how come you changed the DRAM voltage ? It should be fine at 1.5v.
As said before maybe your ambient temp is lower than it was before.

Because the RAM is rated at 1.65; it has shown a slight performance with the extra juice.

Ambient temp is the same.
