How much should I be expecting to cough up for a good example?

For a genuine sport, prices are getting really strong now. I paid £3500 over a year ago for this, I have seen some £5000+. You could pick a sport up for 2500 for a pretty good one, but you really have to make sure its been looked after fairly well. A normal 325i can be had for very little money now.

How does it cope with driveways, ramps and bumps?

So far, pretty good. I had to take my dad in to the middle of Brighton tonight, and had no problems with speed humps. I did go in to a petrol station earlier and the reflection in their window over their hump was ever so close hah!

Back looks too low, and front doesn't look like it matches.

The front arches on E30's are higher than the rears which gives it a slightly odd appearence.

Looks gorgeous, but am I missing something? Wasn't it lowered before?

Only on standard Mtech kit, now its down another 2cm, so only 35mm in all.
