Before my Downstream SNR Margin was 9 (17161 kbps) but I telnet into my router (Billion 7800N) to lower my SNR to 0.6 (19954 kbps).

DMT Status No Defect
Operational Mode ADSL2+
Upstream 1304
Downstream 19954
SNR Margin(Upstream) 6.8
SNR Margin(Downstream) 0.6
Line Attenuation(Upstream) 9.9
Line Attenuation(Downstream) 17.5

It has been over 10 days since I done this and my connection has not dropped. Is it safe to say my connection is stable and why was it not this low to start of with?

P.S might I add the Billion 7800N is the best router I have ever used. 12 devices connected to it everyday, around 500GB of data transferred each month and connection has not dropped since the day I bought it, (over 120 days ago).
