Lol mate the 3080 is not twice as fast as the 2080ti it will be about 30 to 35 percent faster that's all.

I like how you say “that’s all” at the end. That’s like the gap between the 2070S and 2080Ti. The gap between the 3080 and 3090 will likely be smaller too, but people are happy to pay well over double the money for that extra 20%

So even if it is 30% better. Who will pay £500 for a second hand 2080Ti when you can get a much better brand new card for £150 more?

Does the Vega 7 have additional compute capability over the 2080 Ti? Even then that's a lot for one.

I just bought a 2080 S for £375. I know, I know. But look, the extra £100 to a 3070 isn't small on my budget, and I'm not planning to wait around for a 3060. The way I see it I'm on 1080p 144Hz with a R5 2600 CPU. What I need most is a CPU upgrade, followed by a monitor upgrade!

I'd stick with that price range. Otherwise may as well go for a 2080 Ti for low 500s.

You just need to be vigilant. I have been monitoring the bay like a hawk since the announcement, and there have only been a handful of 2080S that sell for below 400. One went for 300 today Mostly buyers seem happy to pay way too much for these cards, it’s just a question if you’re lucky enough to find a seller who hasn’t figured that out yet.

We are still in the £500 price range for 2080ti with the odd exception. I expect next week to see more selling for £450

Don't get why people be paying £500-£600 for these. Bit odd that

Cause they ain’t as educated as we are. They think yeah 1200 quid gpu for 500....however still too expensive. Way things are going I’d pay 350-400 with a waterblock.
