I wouldnt count on it, I think DDR3 hit it lowest point years ago. DDR4 has been out a long time now, so I reccon DDR3 will go out of production long before we get down to the prices of old and it will do what ddr2 did and prices will go sky high. We will all be crying in 4 years time about how we didnt stockpile 8gb ddr3 kits @ £50 to sell at a massive profit lol.

Kinda wishing i'd bought 2 lots of the 2x4gb samsung green back in the day now :( as I worry 16gb might be worthwhile before I ditch this platform.

dat crucial price drop!

Yeah, I didnt really think about it, but DDR4 really isnt all that more expencive than DDR3 now is it?

Looking at the speed and the timings, it doesnt seam much quicker either though, unless there more to it that that?

They just did. You won't get the prices so low again as DDR3 is not produced in such large volumes any more as DDR4 is gaining popularity.

Nice price on the Crucial, quite tempting, it's about £100 more for ram with a bit higher frequency and lower latency though.. hmm

Yeah just read a few reviews of that Crucial kit, one of them says they got timings down to 12-12-12-30 1T, finding that hard to believe unless they got lucky.
