Can some one please tell me if i can use my 8gb 2133mhz dominator platinums with them Avexir Core Red Series 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-21000C12 2666MHz.
I know the speed would level out with the 2133mhz, i just want to know if it can be done.

Shouldn't be a problem. As you say they will only run at the slowest speed and you'd probably have to match the timings manually on both sets. Also be worth checking the motherboards manufacturers website to check their approved compatibility list, but I theory should work okay.
