Lowest rated PSU

May be a weird one this, but can someone please let me know what would be the bare minimum requirement PSU for this kit

Asus A8Ve Deluxe Mobo
A64 3500+ Winnie
x850XT PCI-e GFX
52x CDRW
80 GB Western Gigital PATA HDD
1 GB Crucial XMS

I have heard of a website that has an applet for working out this stuff, but a-i cant remember where it is and b-being the Draconian employer that the MoD is, you cant run the applet on the system.

The reason i ask is that all those bits are sitting in my locker and i would like to put them into a case and get a working system, but for as cheap as possible.

Good choices hp7909 but he said he wants a case/psu for it. The 350w Antec is a decent PSU and the whole bundle comes in the same price as the psu's alone in your list.

While I understand you want it as cheap as possible you really should not skimp on a PSU as it is one of the most, if not the most, important pieces of hardware in a system and stability dpends a lot on a good PSU.

I would say a 350W good quality PSU is the absolute minimum but preferably something a bit beefier as you will use a X850XT

Dutch Guy, fully agree that a decent PSU is needed, but this is gonna be as Dureth summised, a quick build/sell on rig (although may keep to use whilst away in the sunny places next year)

Will have a look at the Antec cases too. I quiet liked the look of them whilst i was building my sig rig, but chose otherwise at the time due to time constraints
