LPG 'conversion' for Diesels???

I was being drawn to all the marketing blurb and thought it might be a good idea... may have still gone for it if they were lpga approved etc.

recently got myself an 06 BMW E91 Touring 3.0 ... waiting to have it de-swirled :)

you're probably right.. just need someone sensible like yourself (et al) to tell me :P

Yes, might treat myself to a remap in a few weeks time when money is a little better :)

yeh, managed to get myself a very good DIY guide on how to do it. Blanking plates on order so shouldn't be too long before i get to drive it around :P (bit scared at the moment even with short trips!)

got momentarily suckered into the marketing and the promise of a more powerful car with fuel savings to boot.

at least i came here first right? :)

yep... i'm sure people know... it's adding a mix of diesel with lpg (typically 70/30 mix) and that apparantly means you burn up 98% diesel instead of the reported 80% (it can't be true that modern diesel engines only burn around 80% of the diesel it uses???)

apparently this method means a big boost in power and obviously you're using less diesel and using more of the cheaper lpg.
