I need some help here :)
Basically i am trying to help a mate with his Discovery, It's got an LPG kit on it which it came with, an Omnia kit, European. I went over yesterday & got it going but it runs like a Dog, it revs like it is on 6 for about a minute then just Dies like it is out of Fuel. We think that it is trying to start & run on Gas which is why it runs like a Dog & pops every now & again & as it warmed it got better. Now the problem is we don't think it is switching back to petrol properly, Causing the bad starting & crap running when cold. We tried to trace the gas to find the mix point to manually cut it off or engage the fuel & that is where we are Lost :(
Our last resort would be to fit a carb & trace the fuel lines ourselves bypassing the Gas system, Nightmare.
So.
I need an expert to help me out big style so i can save a Good mate from a Disaster. Where does it mix ? How can i get a manual Switch over sorted ? What can i do ?
All Constructive help is greatly appreciated, Thanks for reading & feel to ask me more questions if it helps solving the problem or coming up with a bodge/fix.

Bleh, this is all I know about lpg because a mate had one a long time ago. He started on petrol and switched over when the engine was warmed up. There was a mixer plate underneath the carburettor and a kind of evaporation chamber where the lpg went from liquid to gas. It was a constant flow but the engine drew more or less out the chamber as it needed it.

His didn't automatically switch between the two, it was a manual system.
