Anyone having issues, ive started to find that once I export to .jpeg from an original RAW file that the export loses a lot of the sharpening. Ive not really noticed this before until today but thats only probably because iam using LR more and noticing more things.

A quick google serch seems to suggest there has been a problem for awhile. Maybe I need to change my export settings?

Example

Still having issues, upgraded to 4.1 RC2 right one is the exported one...

I can't really tell from those sizes whether sharpening is different or not. You can increase the output sharpening for screen or print when exporting. I usually have my sharpening around 35, masking 60. However, unsharp mask works a treat in DPP or Elements.

Thanks but I leave 'output sharpening' unticked as I do all sharpening in LR itself.

This is really bugging me

I don't know but maybe Output sharpening tick box on export is tied to the sharpening slider in the development module? Perhaps then people doing a bulk export and don't want any sharpening for any of the photos means it's just a single tick box.

Maybe try ticking the box and then doing 0% sharpening and then 100% and comparing the difference to see if it has an effect?

p.s. LR4 4.1 has now been released, no need for RC2.
