lsass.exe operation failed

Hi,

I have a laptop that boots, gets past the splash screen, then displays "lsass.exe operation failed", click ok, machine reboots.

I don't believe it's a virus as I've scanned the HDD in another machine.

Tried safe mode & last know config to no avail.

Any ideas???? TIA.

if you google your error, there are a number of suggested fixes, try them.
