I am having issues with my RAID PCIe card disconnecting, every time I play a game my RAID drives have disconnected. Have tried using 3 different LSI cards, tried different PCIe slots, sometimes it seems OK but most of the time my drives have disappeared, the card is visible in the RAID utility programme and device manager but no drives. Do I have too many PCIe devices connected and it's dropping out because of this?

My system is:

10980XE Asrock X299 Professional Gaming I9,
64GB 3600 RAM,
1070 Ti,
3x 256Gb NVME Gen 3,
8x 7200RPM HD,
1200W Zalman Acrux Platinum.

Heat isn't an issue, same issue if everything is run at stock, Zalman is a newish model and is still sold, BIOS is latest and still does it with older release.

I don't think PCIe devices or lanes are your issue. Heat or power seem much more likely. Is your BIOS up to date? Is that PSU old Zalman or new Zalman? If the former have you tried a different PSU?

You were spot on, just upgraded to a Thermaltake Toughpower Grand 1200W, voltages are a lot better than with the Zalman.
