LSI MegaRAID SAS 9271-8i Alternative

We recently purchased a LSI MegaRAID SAS 9271-8i card for one of our older Supermicro boxes. The card has issues which LSI have not been able to fix and cannot replace the card as they are on production stop.

Can anyone recommend an alternative? What is the general opinion on RAID card manufacturers? Should we stick with LSI or maybe Adaptec?

I would always stick with Adaptec, tried and tested everytime.

LSI MegaRAID cards have cache issues not to mention are generally a pita to setup as well with the crappy GUI support
