Technically o-ring chains do not even need lubing. Some motocross riders, simply do not bother, and its fair to say their chains see there fair share of gravel & grit.

Likewise. Had one for years on all my bikes. Couldn't go back to faffing around with a spray can of lube now. I run a Mille RSV which is fairly well breathed upon and its still on the same Tsubaki X Ring chain and Renthal sprokets that it had fitted 6 years ago. Still in tip top condition and rarely needs adjusting.

The Scottoiler has a big part to play in that.

you only need to clean and lube a chain every 400 miles, why on earth would you be cleaning and lubing everyday?

Because the Wurth dry lubricant provides next to no protection in Winter when there is salt on the roads, as mentioned above.
