So to cut a long story short, I found a Sandy Bridge i5-2400 and an intel H67 motherboard in a skip! Don't ask why someone binned this sort of kit because I'm still trying to fathom it myself!
I checked that it boots ok and it seems fine, the BIOS posts even quicker than my existing board would you believe!
The newly acquired board is an intel DQ670W... I'm in 2 minds as to whether to sell this combo and put the cash towards a 3570k/z77 combo or put up with the frankly shoddy quality and very limited IOs of the H67, purely because it hasn't cost me anything...
Any ideas?

i'd personally sell it on and get a 3570K/Z77 combo, but at the end of the day it's whether you want to have overclocking. At any rate the 2400 is an amazing CPU.
