lucky escape for this guy!

and the music says "quattro" hmm sure it wasnt put on after?

but that was an awesome recovery! Id like to think that id be able to recover it in the same situation, but you can never tell!

Erm, it was utter panic from what I could see, too much lock not enough thinking about the angle.

Not saying I'd have come out any better, probably worse, but I think that was pure luck in the video.

The opinion of my own personal tame racing driver/professional track/rally/offroad instructor (my daddy) is that the save was down pretty much entirely to talent on behalf of the driver, and panic wasn't involved in the slightest...

I wondered that. It messes him up pretty badly, it's a little odd that there's no pile of smashed up cars where he came to a halt :D

Dunno... maybe it was only a small patch... Maybe it's a fake! We need someone who can tell by the pixels

Maybe he was doing 95mph whilst change lanes and the rest.... weren't ;).

prob cos he was the only car doin 100+? and i guess he was filming himself out for a blast, that part might have just been the road leading up to some nice back roads.

interesting vid; looks like he was travelling pretty quick tbh.
funny as no-one else does it, but he does change lanes when it happens and by the sounds of it he had lifted off as well, which explains why the rear of the car breaks away in a fwd (or 4x4) car. You can hear the wheel spin so I suspect fwd, was trying to hear if he nailed the throttle when it broke away- a true sign of a skilled fwd driver; trying to pull it out of the skid.
Maybe he is the only one affected due to his position on the road, probably having all wheels on the oil/diesel, where if he'd been clearly in one lane maybe only one side would go through the spillage and would probably be ok.
Must have been right in front of the other car though, if it was that slippy, the other ar prob would have hit.

All speculation, but still a good vid!

Been there, done that, though not quite that extreme.

Inside lane of the M67, minding my own business at 85ish mph, all of a sudden, oh crap, I appear to be pointing the wrong way.

Scared the crap out of me. Pulled over and reported it straight away and let my heart slow down a bit.

he cuts the corners like a bad mother!

like basically using the hard shoulder to straightline some of the bends, just like the car is doing just before he spins it! Pretty far out driving style really, and yes good save!

I doubt that chap. Not many people go lock to lock in a lucky uneducated manor (as I said it's hardly intuitive), plus it was a very quick response and certainly didn't look (imo) panicky (well lol, no more panicky than anyone might seem sideways at 90 ;P). Skill imo.
