So I got a 4770k way back in 2014 from OcUK and thought I'd grab myself a delid tool and some thermal grizzly to get a bit more of life out of it.

Tool all printed off by a buddy of mine, first time doing this and boom! turns out my CPU had already had this done to it - Not sure if I should be happy or not :D

Aha! I can assure you that was not the case. Maybe I've got a phantom CPU delider in my house?

I guess that's a possibility, still... feels a little naff :(. The job didn't even look particularly great :D

It was purchased from OcUK on it's own as an OEM part.

I understand it's not exactly easy to tell if a CPU has been delided by someone before returning it, but it still feels a bit pants.

They don't respond to every thread. If you want a response then the place to post is the dedicated customer services forums and they will reply promptly.

This is something the OP can and should do if they want to take the issue to ocuk staff via the forums. Alternatively they can call or pop into the store depending on what suits them.

I think I most likely will make the staff aware, I can't see it being of any gain to me in this instance. But as OcUK being my go to for PC components since, well forever. I don't really want this to happen again.
